I'm trying to make an Elder Phoenix.

First try I got a Playful, got rid of it and tried a second one.

The second one became agressive at lvl 11 (yay).

After turning 11 I went directly to Urgoz and it lved from 11 to 20 there (dieing and being ressurected all the time off course).

Turns out it didn't evolve at 15 to Elder as I was expecting and right now, at 20 it still says Agressive. I tried resetting the pet name several times, changed the name and reseted again... nothing happened.

Can a pet *not* do the second evolution? Is my Phoenix traumatized by all the dieing after thinking so highly of itself when it got Agressive and refuses to evolve, trying to hold on to the memories of its old enraged glory days?

Here's a link to a pet guide here on GWGuru stating that sometimes, pets stay with only their first evolution: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=89491. It has been verified that pets do level with no evolution at all or no second evolution.

This happens occasionally. I have a lvl 20 dune lizard that hasnt evolved at all. technically thats the same stats as elder, but it displays as unevolved. Check the Wiki article it'll tell you all you need to know.

The pet evolution thing is really cool, but it would be nice to know if it's a sometimes random process or a bugged one.

My hunter tamed one of the level 15 Aggressive Lions and at level 20 the lion remained aggressive.

The GW-Wiki stated that Aggressive is a mid way point in the evolution. Not in this case, it seems.

I barely found out about that big pack of Aggressive lions and linoesses. I immediately got all my heros aggressive lions and lionesses. I hope I can get them to all turn elder. I hate having to evolve a pet myself from lvl 5. Only once was I able to cap an elder animal. It was a tiger(IIRC) a bit southeast of Boreas seabed coming from neutral territory.
